ÿ When refueling
Be sure to observe the following.
Failure to do so may result in serious injury, such as fire, or in the worst case,
death.
• Before refueling, remove static electricity from your body by touching metal parts such as the
body. After removing it, do not return to the vehicle or touch other people or objects until
refueling is complete. Also, do not allow anyone who has not removed static electricity to
approach the fuel filler port. If a statically charged person approaches the fuel filler port, sparks
from the discharge may ignite the fuel.
•Hold the knob on the cap and slowly open it. Also, if you hear a hissing sound
when you unscrew the cap, hold the cap until the sound stops. If you open it
too soon, fuel may
spew out from the filler port when the temperature is high.
• Do not inhale vaporized fuel.
Some fuel components contain toxic substances.
•Do not smoke.
•Firmly insert the nozzle into the filler port.
