5.2.1
Removing the Fascia Panel
Refer to Figure 5-1 – Component Overview.
Remove the Rotary Knob (Item 4).
Note:
Some models have dual-knob controls.
Model G595 has light-touch switches instead of knobs.
The fascia panel (Item 3) is fastened to the inner door panel (Item 1) by
six screws. These should be unscrewed to remove the fascia panel.
5.2.2
Removing the Metal Plate Behind Fascia Panel
Refer to Figure 5-1 – Component Overview.
Various electrical components are fastened to the metal plate (Item 2)
behind the fascia panel. The plate is bolted to the inner door panel (Item
1). Remove the three screws and take off the complete metal plate.
5.2.3
Removing the Outer Door Panel
Refer to Figure 5-1 – Component Overview.
The outer door panel (Item 5) is bolted to the inner door panel (Item 1).
Unscrew the four screws and remove the complete outer door panel.
Note:
There are two different types of outer door panels:
a) For free-standing and built-under appliances with décor frame and
décor frame strips.
b) For integrated dishwashers.
