3.1.1.2 Reactivation Salt
Note:
It is not necessary to reactivate the salt of the hardness of the local
supply is permanently under 140 mg/l (1.8°dH).
Use only special coarse-grained reactivation salt, as other salts may
contain insoluble additives which can impair the functioning of the
softener.
1. Remove the lower basket.
2. Unscrew the salt container cap.
Important!
Before filling with salt for the first time, fill the container with approx. 2
liters of water.
3. Place the funnel provided in place and fill the container to the rim with
salt – refer to Figure 3-2 – Filling the Salt Container. The salt
container holds approx. 2 kg. of salt. As it is filled, displaced water will
run out.
4. Remove all traces of salt from the screw thread of the socket and
screw the cap on firmly.
