Commissioning and Operation

3.1
Commissioning
Once the appliance has been properly installed, it can be commissioned
as follows:
Enquire about the hardness level of the catchment area where the
machine is installed and set the water hardness selector accordingly.
Fill the salt reservoir.
Check the amount of water taken in and adjust if required.
Carry out a test run and check for unusual noises, leaks, kinked
hoses, etc.
3.1.1
Water Hardness
To avoid the build-up of calcium deposits on crockery and in the
dishwasher, the water needs to be softened, if it is harder than 140 mg/l
(1.4 mmol/l, 8°dH), ie. in the areas with hardness range 2.
The local water authority will advise on the water hardness in your
particular catchment area.
3.1.1.1
Setting the Water Hardness Scale
The dishwasher is set at the factory to operate up to a water hardness
level of 250 mg/l (2.5 mmol/l; 14°dH) or up to hardness level 2. If your
water is harder than this, use a screwdriver or coin to select the required
setting at the water hardness selector in the cabinet.
