1-4. Preparations for safe driving with children in the vehicle

When adjusting the driver' s seat, if it contacts a child or child restraint system, install

the child restraint system to the rear seat behind the front passenger' s seat.

Adjust the front passenger seat so that it does not interfere with the child or child
restraint system.

If a child which is over 100 cm tall is to ride in the vehicle, use a booster seat. When
using a booster seat, make sure that the seat belt is worn correctly.
Preventing the rear doors from being opened from the inside of the
vehicle (child-protector lock)
The door cannot be opened from inside the vehicle when the lock is set.

Door opening method when using a child-protector lock
Unlock the door and pull the exterior door handle to open the door. If it is necessary to
open the door from inside the vehicle, open the rear door window and pull the exterior
door handle.

These locks can be set to prevent children from
opening the rear doors. Push down on each
rear door switch to lock both rear doors.
