QuickAccess Area
QuickBlank
A bus that provides a high-speed data path between
the CPU and I/O.
Features that are updated each time the server is
turned on, such as date, time, and the Num Lock key
state (either on or off).
A set of tests that compares hardware versions of the
server and its options to the stored configuration.
POST runs each time you turn on your server.
The computer chip that controls your server. Also
called CPU.
A device to ensure that proper voltage is delivered to
critical computer components.

The drive positions in the front of your server
accessible with the front bezel closed. You can
install diskette drives, hard drives, and tape drives in
these positions.
A screen blanking utility that operates without
exiting the application. Use the Configuration Utility
to enable QuickBlank. QuickBlank also locks the
keyboard and mouse. A feature of systems with
integrated video controllers (not a feature of ProLiant
5000 servers).
