10. REMOVE TIMING BELT AND IDLER PULLEY
REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
(a) Set No. 1 cylinder at TDC/compression.
Turn the crankshaft pulley until the timing mark is
aligned with the TDC mark.
NOTE: Check that the rocker arms on the No. 1 cylinder
are loóse. If not, turn the crankshaft one full turn.
(b) Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley mount bolt.
SST 0 9 2 1 3 - 7 0 0 1 0 and 0 9 3 3 0 - 0 0 0 2 0
(c) Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley.

REMOVE TIMING BELT COVERS
(a) Remove the four bolts, timing belt upper cover and
gasket.
(b) Remove the three bolts and timing belt lower cover.
REMOVE TIMING BELT GUIDÉ
NOTE: If reusing the timing belt, draw a direction arrow
on the belt (in direction of engine revolution), and place
matchmarks on the pulleys and belt as shown in the
figure.
