CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc handling precautions

Media damage
Pay attention to the following when handling any CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc. If
these precautions are not observed the disc may be damaged or lose data.
l Do not scratch the surface of a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc. Pay special attention
when you remove a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc from its case.
l Do not widen the center hole of a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc.
l Do not write on a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc label with a ball-point pen or pencil.
l Do not clean a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc with benzene, paint thinner, water,
record spray, or an antistatic agent.
l Do not expose a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc to heat or sunlight.
l Do not store a CD-ROM / DVD-ROM disc in a place that undergoes rapid changes
in temperature or humidity.
