Removal

1) Remove bearing plate case bolt (1) and then detach trans-

2) Remove 5th gear pawl (1) from extension bearing plate case

3) Remove gear shift rod locking bushes (1) from extension

4) Remove gear shift rod connector bolts (1).

5) Engage 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear and then remove gear shift
1
mission end plate (2) from transaxle case.

NOTE:
If fastening bolts are stiff, heat extension bearing plate
case with hot air dryer to approx. 80 °C (176 °F).
3. 5th gear pawl bolt
bearing plate case (2) using special tools.

(A): 09922-48620
(B): 09922-48610
rod connector (2) as shown in figure.
NOTE:
If fastening bolts are stiff, heat extension bearing plate
case with hot air dryer to approx. 80 °C (176 °F).
