Test Table
Test
T01 Check: Interruption of Voltage Supply Circuit
• Ignition OFF
• Remove electrical component from socket:
Radiator fan relay
• Measure voltage between the following terminals:
Radiator fan relay - Socket terminal E53-2
&
Ground
Yes: T02
T02 Check: Short to Ground/Interruption of Voltage Supply Circuit
• Measure voltage between the following terminals:
Radiator fan relay - Socket terminal E53-4
&
Ground
Yes: T03
T03 Check: Short to Voltage of Voltage Supply Circuit
• Ignition ON
• Measure voltage between the following terminals:
Radiator fan relay - Socket terminal E53-3
&
Ground
Yes: T04
T04 Check: Short to Voltage of Signal Circuit
• Measure voltage between the following terminals:
Radiator fan relay - Socket terminal E53-1
&
Ground
Yes: T05
T05 Check: Short to Ground of Signal Circuit
• Connect test light to:
Radiator fan relay - Socket terminal E53-1
&
Battery voltage
Yes: T06
T06 Check: Component
• Select and enable Scan Tool actuator test:
Radiator Fan Control
• Press NO key (OFF)
NOTE:
Resistance of the test light approximately 20 Ω to 40 Ω
Yes: T07
T07 Check: Interruption of Signal Circuit
• Press YES key (ON)
NOTE:
Resistance of the test light approximately 20 Ω to 40 Ω
Yes: T08
