7A-14 Heater and Ventilation:

Blower Motor Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2) Remove glove box.
3) Disconnect blower motor connector (1).
4) Remove blower motor (2).
Installation
Reverse removal procedure to install blower motor.

Blower Motor Inspection

• Check motor coil for continuity between terminals as
shown. If there are no continuity, replace blower motor
assembly (1).
• Check motor for smooth operation and current.

1) Fix blower motor assembly (1) using soft-jawed vise.
2) Connect battery to blower motor assembly (1) as
shown.

3) Check if blower motor operates smoothly and
doesn't make abnormal noise.

4) Check if ammeter indicates specified current.
If current is out of specification, replace blower
motor.
