CLI: Create a Link State Group

1.
Create a link state group with group number 1.
(Netgear Switch) (Config)#link state group 1 action down
2.
Configure port 1/0/1 as an upstream link.
(Netgear Switch) (Config)#interface 1/0/1
(Netgear Switch) (Interface 1/0/1)#link state group 1 upstream
3.
Configure port 1/0/5 as a downstream link.
(Netgear Switch) (Interface 1/0/1)#interface 1/0/5
(Netgear Switch) (Interface 1/0/5)#link state group 1 downstream
(Netgear Switch) (Interface 1/0/5)#exit
4.
Display the status of the link state group with group number 1.
(Netgear Switch) #show link state group 1

Downstream Interfaces

Web Interface: Create a Link State Group

1.
Configure the action for link state group with group number 1.
a. Select System > Link Dependency > Link Dependency Group Configuration.
A screen similar to the following displays.
