CRANKCASE/TRANSMISSION/CRANKSHAFT/BALANCER
- reverse idle shaft and idle gear
Position the crank
weights so that
they do not inter-
fere with the
mainshaft gears.
- mainshaft and countershaft as an assembly
- stopper bolt
- secondary gearshift spindle
- spindle arm
- oil seal
Do not expand the
snap ring more than
necessary for
removal.
MAINSHAFT AND
COUNTERSHAFT
Disassemble the mainshaft and countershaft.
Clean all disassembled parts in solvent thoroughly.
NOTE:
• Keep track of the disassembled parts (gears,
bushings, washers and snap ring) by sliding
them onto a tool or slipping them onto a piece of
wire.
