ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH
Coat a new O-ring with engine oil and install it onto
the driven pulley bolt.
Apply engine oil to the pulley bolt threads and seat-
ing surface, and install the bolt.
Hold the driven pulley using the special tool and
tighten the bolt.
TOOL:
Recoil pulley holder 07SMB-HM70100
TORQUE: 108 N m (11.0 kgf m, 80 Ibf ft)
Install the recoil starter (page 11-7).
Install the air cleaner housing (page 6-5).
FLYWHEEL/STARTER CLUTCH
REMOVAL
Remove the alternator cover (page 11-7).
Remove the following:
- starter reduction gear A and shaft
- washer and reduction gear C
Remove the flywheel and starter driven gear using
the special tool.
TOOL:
Rotor puller
Remove the following:
- starter reduction shaft
