1.18 DF ORIGINAL MISFEED OR SKEW

- Problem -
When the DF is in use, the original stops on the exposure glass or is skewed
even if the electrical components are functioning normally.
- Possible Causes -
1. The exposure glass is upside-down
2. Friction between the exposure glass and the transport belt
- Action -
Is the red mark on the exposure glass positioned on the right hand side fac-
ing upwards.
Yes No
Reinstall the exposure glass so that the red mark is positioned on the
right hand side facing upwards.
Clean the exposure glass surface with alcohol or water. Pour a small amount
of silicone oil on the exposure glass and wipe the exposure glass with a dry
cloth to reduce the friction between the exposure glass and the transport belt.
