Assembly Instructions
1. Make sure that the shipping cover has been removed from the exit port on the
spectrometer.
2. If the spacer plate has been removed, reinstall it on the sliding tube.
3. Loosen the two setscrews holding the sliding tube in the spectrometer and rotate the
sliding tube as you remove it from the spectrometer.
4. Leaving 1/4" of thread exposed, mount the three (3) hex head screws to the sliding
tube.
5. Put the O-ring (supplied with the camera) in the groove on the camera flange.
6. Mount the sliding tube assembly on the camera flange on and rotate the assembly so
the baffle aligns with the array. You may need to open the manual shutter.
7. Tighten the screws.
8. Gently rotate the camera and sliding tube assembly as you insert it into the
spectrometer.
9. Secure the sliding tube with the two setscrews.
Note: Adapter parts are machined to provide a tight fit. If you need to remove the sliding
tube from the spectrometer, first loosen the two setscrews that secure it, and then rotate the
tube as you pull it out. If you have removed the sliding tube from the spectrometer, rotate the
sliding tube as you re-insert it, and tighten the setscrews afterwards to secure it. Forcing the
tube into the spectrometer could permanently damage the tube and the spectrometer opening.
