System Setup
To minimize risk to users or to system equipment, turn the system OFF before any cables
are connected or disconnected.
Introduction
A ProEM
All of the components and cables required for your configuration should be included with
your shipment. Your ProEM+ system has been specially configured and calibrated to
match the camera options specified at the time of purchase. The CCD window and
coatings you ordered have been installed in your camera head.
Keep all the original packing materials so you can safely ship the ProEM+ system to
another location or return it for service if necessary. If you have any difficulty with any
step of the instructions, call Princeton Instruments Customer Support. For contact
information, refer to page 146.
Hardware installation consists of:
Unpacking the System
During the unpacking, check the system components for possible signs of shipping
damage. If there are any, notify Princeton Instruments and file a claim with the carrier. If
damage is not apparent but camera or controller specifications cannot be achieved,
internal damage may have occurred in shipment. Please save the original packing
materials so you can safely ship the camera system to another location or return it to
Princeton Instruments for repairs if necessary.

camera system consists of four hardware components:
Camera
Power supply
GigE adapter card
Cables: Ethernet, Power, MCX-to-BNC
Installing a dedicated GigE interface card.
Attaching a lens to a C-mount on the camera or to a C- to F-mount adapter.
Mounting the camera to a spectrograph (for spectroscopy applications).
Software installation depends on the application software you will be using to run
the system. Refer to the manual supplied with the software for information about
installing and setting it up.
