... Enter the desired call number on the telephone.
Press the "Monitoring/Handsfree" function key. The LED next to the function key begins to
flash and you can speak to the desired subscriber via the headset as soon as he/she answers.
If you want to end the call:
Press the "Monitoring/Handsfree" function key again (LED goes out).
• If the call number that you want to dial is in one of the lists (call list, journal, phone book),
you can also select it there and then press the "Monitoring/Handsfree" function key.
• If you are using a convenience headset (e.g. Ellipse), you can also press the correspon-
ding key on the headset instead of pressing the "Monitoring/Handsfree" function key on
the telephone. Brief connecting delays are possible when answering on the telephone.
• If you want someone else to be able to hear your call loud in the room, you have two opti-
ons:
1. Select the Monitoring menu item and press the "OK" key. The opposite party can now also be
heard over the loudspeaker.
2. Pick up the handset. The opposite party can now also be heard over the handset (speaking over the
handset is not possible).
You can deactivate monitoring again by pressing "OK" again (in the first case) or replacing the handset (in
the second case).
• If you do not want the caller to hear what is being said at your end, press the "Mute"
function key on the telephone or press the corresponding key on the headset. The caller
will be able to hear you again once you have pressed this key again, .
