Highlight Color Support
Example 2: Hues
The following is designed to demonstrate various hue examples. In the bitmap column, "B"
represents black pixels, "C" represents highlight-color pixels, and "0" white pixels. Note that
black is not included, which results in pure HC shading. The corresponding LCDS bitmaps
are formed according to the following rules:
The predominate color element determines the resulting color, i.e.,
Black > HC Black, and
HC > Black HC
The resulting bitmap is the sum of all black pixels + all HC pixels
If the result is HC, the next higher HC bitmap will be applied in the event no corresponding
Océ bitmap is available. If the result is black, the next lower black bitmap will be applied
(see "Color mapping").
For VarioStream 9220 printers, on the other hand, bicolor shadings may be converted into
two layers (black and highlight color/custom tone). This can be set using the XRC resource
converter switch FrmShadeModify=RASTER ICT. Please see the PRISMAproduction Ad-
ministrator Guide for details.
