Forms
A form can be seen as a regular page for:
coordinate system
dot-/scan-addresses
landscape/portrait.
The page-terms
hpos/vpos
duplex
shift
are not applicable.
During printout the coordinate-system of a form and a page must coincide with their x- and
y-axis and their origin.
The length of the x-axis is defined in the Header-block+16 (2 Bytes), the length of the y-axis
is defined in the Header-block+18 (2 Bytes).
XEROX-EXAMPLES
PMODE
The PDL-option PMODE=LANDSCAPE|PORTRAIT has the subsequent meaning no mat-
ter what the length of the pager edges are:
LANDSCAPE
LANDSCAPE means always, independent from page-length/-width ratio: the characters
are put one to each other in a direction parallel to the Y
the longer or the shorter axis. By applying this rule all rules have to be applied which are
valid for landscape.
PORTRAIT
PORTRAIT means always, independent from page-length/-width ratio: the characters are
put one to each other in a direction parallel to the X
is the shorter or the longer axis. By applying this rule all rules have to be applied which are
valid for portrait.
