8-7 Command Mode

The indicator receives a command transmitted from a peripheral unit like a computer in the
communication procedure shown below, and operates in compliance with the command and responds
with a result.

The communication procedure depends on the type of command.

When the command is not accepted due to an error (improper command or faulty data), a
"negative acknowledgment" is made.
