Conditions

OmniTouch Fax Server System Administrator Guide - 8AL_90215_USAA ed.01

Conditions let you create prerequisites for the application of rules. The

administrator imposes Conditions on an Attribute and the system validates it

prior to applying the rule. The rule is applied if all Conditions of the rule are

true; otherwise it is skipped. If there are no Conditions, the rule is always

applied. Conditions are linked with the logical operator AND.

For example, a Condition such as the one shown in the following screenshot

can be defined in the Conditions of a Profile Lookup Rule in order to assign a

specific Profile to any user who is part of the domain specified in the Condi-

tion.

Table entries are ordered and once the system finds a match, it stops search-

ing (stop on first match). Ordering applies to rules, which are linked with the

logical operator OR.
