A fax header is a line of text printed at the top of each sent page.
Fax headers can be entered into a profile, which is then associated
with one or more users. When a banner appears in the fax, the fax
header appears immediately below it.
The format for fax header variables includes the variable itself, a
comma and the number of digits of the variable:
@@variable,number_of_digits
indicating the maximum number of digits the variable can occupy.
• If the value of the variable is longer, it is truncated to
number_of_digits.
• If the value is smaller, it is padded at the right with enough spaces to
equal number_of_digits.
• If the variable does not exist, but number_of_digits is specified,
an equivalent number of spaces will be appended in the resulting
string.
Note: The comma and number_of_digits part of the variable format
is optional. If it is not specified, the exact value of the variable
is used.
The same default fax header is already associated with the default
profile.
