Scenario 4

Description

OmniTouch Fax Server System Administrator Guide - 8AL_90215_USAA ed.01
Obtain the user's Personal Information.
Typically aimed at:
Companies that do not use or do not want too much integration with
Active Directory and that have another directory where users' Personal
Information can be found.
Service providers that maintain a separate LDAP source containing spe-
cific user information.
Service providers that need to provide Web access and that have the
ability to query clients' Active Directories.
1 Under Directories Integration, add an OmniTouch Fax Server Internal
Directory. The default mapping of the Attributes needs to be changed
since users' Personal Information will not be obtained from the
Internal Directory. Map all the Attributes, except Site and Profile, to
<undefined>.
2 Under Directories Integration, add an LDAP Directory. The default
Search Filter should be adequate for an Active Directory; it will allow
the system to find users based on their SMTP Addresses. The default
mapping of the Attributes should be adequate for an Active
Directory. If not, you need to review the Attribute mapping.
3 Under Site Lookup Table, add a rule configured as follows:
Rule Type = Use The Site Specified By
Attribute = Site
You do not need to create Conditions.
4 Under the Profile Lookup Table of each Site, add a rule configured as
follows:
Rule Type = Use The Profile Specified By
Attribute = Profile
5 For each user, add an entry in the Internal Users node of the Site you
want the user to belong to. Refer to Creating an Internal User
Account on page 13. There is no need to fill in the user's Personal
Information as it will not be required.
Using Active Directory for most users and supporting additional users
through the OmniTouch Fax Server Internal Directory
This scenario is an example of multi-directory integration, in that all
users' Attributes are retrieved from one directory. This directory can
be either an LDAP Directory (Active Directory) or the OmniTouch Fax
Server Internal Directory.
