Description

This section describes the most common directory integration
scenarios. Descriptions of how to configure the system and find user
related data are provided. i.e. site, profile.
All the scenarios are based on two assumptions:
You are starting with a clean directory configuration, i.e. the

Directories Integration, and Profile Lookup Table are all
empty.
A valid site has already been created.

Using the OmniTouch Fax Server Internal Directory with a Site
This scenario explains how to configure the system so that only users
listed under the Internal Users node of a Site can access the system
(i.e. users who are part of the OmniTouch Fax Server Internal
Directory). This is the easiest configuration; however, no real link is
made to your organization's user directory. This configuration usually
results in the doubling of user management. The OmniTouch Fax
Server Internal Directory contains a Site name, Profile name and
Personal Information for each user. When you install a new
OmniTouch Fax Server system, this scenario is the default
configuration.
Typically aimed at:
Small businesses not using an external directory service such as
Active Directory.
Small businesses with a limited number of users for which user
management duplication does not pose a problem.
