Service providers with no access to an Active Directory or LDAP
server.
1 Under Directories Integration, add an OmniTouch Fax Server Internal
Directory. The default Attribute mapping is adequate and provides all
available Personal Information as well as users' Site name and Profile
names.
2 Under the Profile Lookup Table of the Site, add a rule configured as
follows:
Rule Type = Use The Profile Specified By
Attribute = Profile
3 For each user, add an entry in the Internal Users node of the Site you
want the user to belong to. Refer to Creating an Internal User
Account on page 13.
Using the OmniTouch Fax Server Internal Directory with a Site and
allowing unlisted users to send and receive faxes
This scenario is similar to Scenario 1. The only difference is that
there is additional support for users not listed in the OmniTouch Fax
Server Internal Directory. Unlisted users will be able to send and
receive faxes via their e-mail clients but they will not be allowed to
access the Web interface to identify themselves. The Profile of
unlisted users will allow them to fax without any authentication.
This scenario is based on six assumptions:
• You want to direct the users to two different Sites:
Company for your employees.

Consultants for your consultants who will need to send and

receive faxes.
• Employee e-mail addresses take the format *@company.com.
• Consultants do not have an address related to the Company domain.
• Only a few employees need to use a particular faxing Profile and/or
access the Web interface.
• To minimize user management, the administrators of the company have
decided to configure only a few employees in the OmniTouch Fax Server
Internal Directory. All other employees use the same faxing Profile and
receive their faxes via e-mail.
• Personal Information will not be available for unlisted users, and the
company has decided to use cover sheets that do not show the sender's
name and phone number.
