When neither of job ow nor password is specified (-Jown=:), login user
name is used as job name, and authentication password is treated as
not specified.
When a job owner name exceeds allowable character l extra characters
are ignored.
When an unacceptable character is specified for j name, "Unknown User"
is used as job owner name.
NOTE: Characters able for job owner name are alphanumeric characters and symbols,
exc space and colon.
NOTE: 32 characters are acceptable for job owner name.
When an unacceptable character cified for password, or when a specified
password is not within the the allowable character length, the
authentication password is trea t specified.
NOTE: Only numbe cceptable for password.
NOTE: Acceptable password lengt ween 4 and 12 characters.
Inco orm of -Jown option is treated as no authenti ting being made. In such case, if
authentication setting is the environmental variable, it is used as setting information
Example
To c the TIFF image into the PostScript language program and output file, type as follows:
tiff2ps2 file.tiff > file1.ps
To o e TIFF image to a multifunction printer, type as follows:
% tiff2ps2 ff | lpr (for Linux)
% tiff2ps2 file.tiff | lp (for S-UX)
Important
When -s and -S are specified at the same time or when the s is specified twice, the later
setting will prevail.
When the out option (-s, -S) is not specified, scaling will be executed t e pixel of the
TIFF data as one pixel of the multifunction printer.
If the print position option (left bottom) specifies a yond the printable area of the
multifunction printer, data beyond th le area will not be printed.
