Tool - Advanced setup
Access point (Infrastructure, DHCP network)
1. Create new wireless settings for y uter.
For Windows XP and W erver 2003:
a. Select Network Connections Control Panel.
b. Right-click Wireless Network Connection and select roperties.
c. Select the Wireless Networks tab.
d. that the check box for Use Windows to config less network settings is
checked.
OTE: Ensure that you write down the current wireless c ettings in steps d and g so that
you can restore them later.
e. Click the Advanced button.
f. Select Computer to Computer (ad hoc) networks only and e Advanced
dialog box.
g. Click the Add bu display Wireless network properties.
h. the Association tab, enter the follo rmation and click OK.
Network SID): dell_device
Network Authentication:
Data encryption: Disabled
Ad hoc : checked
i. Click the Move up button to move the newly added SSID to the t ist.
j. Click OK to close the Property dialog box.
