9. Right-click the printer y ated and select Properties.
10. From the General tab, click Print Test Page.
If the e prints successfully, the printer driver installation is complete.
Peer-to-Peer
If you use the peer-to-peer method, the printer driver is full ed on each client computer.
Network clients retain control of driver ations. The client computer handles the print job
processing.
1. Click SettingsPrinters and Faxes (Printers for Windows 2000).
2. Click Add Printer to launch the Printer wizard.
3. Click Next Network Print Server for Windows 2000).
4. Select network printer or a printer attach ther computer, and then click Next
(For Windows 2000, select the network printer from the Shared printers list). If the
multifunction printer is not type in the path of the multifunction printer in the text
box.
or example: \\<server host name>\<shared printer name>
The erver host name is the name of the server computer that identifies network. The
shared printer name is the name assigned during the allation process.
5. Click wse for a printer, and then click Ye (For Windows 2000, click OK).
If this is a new printer y be prompted to install a printer driver. If no system driver is
then you will need to provide a path to available drivers.
6. Select whether you want this multifunction printer to be the printer for the client,
click Next, a click Finish (For Windows 2000, cli Finish).
7. Print a test pa erify printer installation:
a. Click StartSettingsPrinters and Faxe (Printers for Windows 2000).
b. Select the multifunction printer you just created.
c. Click FileProperties.
d. From the General tab, click Print ge (Print a Test Page for Windows
2000).
When a test page ccessfully, printer installation is complete.
For Windows Vista and Window Server 2008
1. Click Start l Panel Hardware and Sound Printers (Start Control Pane
inters for Windows Server 2008).
2. Click Add a printer to launch the Add wizard.
3. Select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer, and th Next. If the printer
is listed, selec inter and click Next, or select The printer that I want isn't listed
and type in of the printer in the Select a shared print e text box and click Next.
