Alternator Replacement
NOTE: Remove the alternator from below the vehicle.

M a k e s u r e y o u h a v e t h e a n t i - t h e f t c o d e f o r t h e
r a d i o , t h e n w r i t e d o w n t h e f r e q u e n c i e s f o r t h e
radio's preset buttons ('99 - 00 models).
2. Remove the battery negative cable, then disconnect
the positive cable.
3. Disconnect the 4P (or 3P) connector from the alter-
naIor.

5 . R e m o v e t h e a d j u s t i n g b o l t a n d t h r o u g h b o l t n u t ,
then remove the alternator belt from the Dullev.

the alternator.
lf necessary, remove the mount bracket bolts. and
the upper and lower mount brackets
Adjust the alternator belt tension after installation
(see page 23-125).
Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the
customer's radio station presets ('99 - 00 models).
