wheels should be aligned straight ahead.
. Be sure to install the harness wires so that they
are not pinched or interfering with other parts.
. A f t e r r e a s s e m b l y . c o n f i r m t h a t t h e w h e e l s a r e
still turned straight ahead and that the steering
wheel spoke angle is correct (road test). lf minor
spoke angle adjustment is necessary, do so only
by adjusting the tie-rods, not by removing and
repositioning the steering wheel.
S e t t h e c a n c e l s l e e v e s o t h a t t h e p r o j e c t i o n s a r e
a l i g n e d v e n i c a l l y .
PROJECTIONS
12. Carefully install the cable reel on the steering col
umn shaft. Then connect the 3p connector to the
cable reel sub-harness, and connect the 2p connec-
tor to the SRS main harness.

Install the steering column covers.
lf necessary, center the cable reel. {New replacement
cable reels come centered.) Do this by first rotating the
cable reel clockwise until it stops. Then rotate tt coun
terclockwise (approximately two and a half turns) until
the arrow mark on the cable reel label points straight
up.
