shellFlowControlEnable

Enables XON/XOFF flow control on the console serial port.
Synopsis
shellflowcontrolenable
Description
Use this command to enable XON/XOFF flow control to the shell task. Flow control is disabled by
default.
Because this command changes the flow control on the console serial port, it must be executed
from a session that is logged in from the console serial port. This command cannot run from a
telnet session.
This setting saves in the configuration database; therefore, persistent across reboots and power
cycles.
Notes
On dual control processor (CP) systems, a reboot on the standby CP is required for this command to
take effect. No action is required on the active CP.
If flow control is enabled and if the console output is suspended for an extended period of time, the
switch might reboot. It is recommended to disable the flow control, using shellFlowControlDisable.
The execution of this command is subject to Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place.
