Powering Down the Server

For all non-hot-plug procedures, you must power down the server. To power down the server:
1. Press and hold the Power On/Standby button until the front panel power LED indicator is

3. Disconnect all external peripheral devices from the server.

Removing the Server from the Rack

To remove the server from the rack:
1. Power down the server. Refer to "Powering Down the Server" in this chapter.
