Table 2-2: Serial Control Pin Definitions - RS-422 Controller Configuration

On the 8010-SIE-GPSII this port is configured at the factory for connection to the GPS antenna. If you
need to upload firmware to the 8010-SIE-GPSII you will have to reconfigure the port to its RS-232
configuration as described in section 5.2.2. Table 2-3 shows the pinout of the serial port in its GPS
antenna configuration.

2.1.6. Parallel Remote Control Connections

PARALLEL: A 9 pin D connector located on the rear panel labeled PARALLEL provides 6 parallel
control inputs for remote control of some of the model 8010-SIE functions. There are also
two open collector outputs that can be assigned to a variety of functions. See section 2.6 for
information on connecting the parallel inputs and outputs and section 3.8.5 for a complete
description of the operation of the Parallel I/O functions. The pinout of the PARALLEL
connector is as follows:
