2.1.7. Parallel Remote Control Connections

PARALLEL: A 9 pin D connector located on the rear panel labeled PARALLEL provides control
inputs and outputs for remote control of some of the model 8010TM functions. There
are also two open collector outputs that can be assigned to a variety of functions. When
the 8010TM is operating in the time rctl mode, the functions of these I/O pins is
reassigned to provide a method of inputting Remote Control information and encoding it
into the user bits. See section 2.6 for information on connecting the parallel inputs and
outputs. See sections 3.7.9.2 to 3.7.9.5 for a complete description of the operation of
the normal Parallel I/O functions. The pinout of the PARALLEL connector when the
GEN MODE is NOT set to time rctl mode is as follows:

The 8010TM has a universal power supply operating on 100 to 240v, 60 or 50 Hz AC.
Dual supply versions have an identical redundant supply.
