Printer Driver Settings

This section describes how to configure the basic
settings of the printer driver, such as for color
mode, duplex/simplex printing, and paper type.

Common buttons

The common buttons are displayed in each tab on
the [Printing Preferences] screen.
Add to Favorites

The current settings on the printer driver screen
can be saved to retrieve later as needed.
Up to 30 groups of settings can be saved.
You need to have administrative authority for

your computer to use the [Add to Favorites]
function.

Configure the necessary settings on
the printer driver screen.

Click [Add to Favorites].
The [Add to Favorites] dialog box is displayed.

Enter a name.
Enter a name up to 20 characters long.

Click [Entry].
The settings are saved and displayed in the
[Favorites] tab.

Restore Default
Restore all settings on the printer driver screen to
their default values.
Restore user settings

Restore all settings on the printer driver screen to
user setting values.
Specify the user settings values as follows.
Windows 10 is used here as an example.

Select the FT series printer from
[Start] - [Settings] - [Devices] -
[Printers & scanners].

Click [Manage] - [Printer properties]
screen

Select [Preferences] on the printer
driver properties screen.
The [Printing Preferences] screen is displayed.

Change the settings as needed.

The detailed settings specified here are
saved to the printer driver. From the next
time, you can call up the values pre-
registered by users just by clicking
[Restore user settings].
The detailed settings from [Properties] or
[Preferences] are temporary settings,
which are specified by selecting the print
option in the application on the computer.
The settings are not saved.
