The following example shows how to enable loopback detection globally (keep the default
parameters):
Switch#configure
Switch(config)#loopback-detection
Switch(config)#show loopback-detection global
Loopback detection global status : enable
Loopback detection interval : 30s
Loopback detection recovery time : 3 intervals

The following example shows how to enable loopback detection of port 1/0/3 and set the
process mode as alert and recovery mode as auto:
Switch#configure
Switch(config)#interface gigabitEthernet 1/0/3
Switch(config-if)#loopback-detection
Switch(config-if)#loopback-detection config process-mode alert recovery-mode auto
