5.8 Maintenance
5.8.1 Upgrade
You can manually upgrade to newer versions of IMBER SMART firmware as they become available
by uploading a package to the device.
NOTE: The device needs to be manually rebooted once the upload completes. This process
requires taking the IMBER SMART router out of service for approximately 1 minute. Unless otherwise
stated, no special precautions are required.
CAUTION: Ensure the device is connected to a stable power source before attempting a firmware
update.
5.8.2 Software
When a new feature (APP Package) for the IMBER SMART router is released, you can install it
manually by uploading a package to the device. It is also possible to uninstall it (APP Package)
from the router.
NOTE: The device needs to be manually rebooted once the upload/uninstall completes. This
process requires taking the IMBER SMART router out of service for approximately 1 minute. Unless
otherwise stated, no special precautions are required.
