The Teldat C1+LS router has the following connectors available: 1.2.2.1 4 port Ethernet Switch (connectors LAN1..4) The Teldat C1+LS router has a 410/100BaseT switch incorporated with an automatic MDI/MDIX to connect to the local area network (LAN). Please pay close attention to the labeling. This is important in order to avoid confusing the switch with other types of ports.

1.2.2.2 ADSL/ADSL2+ connection over PSTN (DSL connector) The Teldat C1+LS router has a DSL connector in order to connect to an ADSL/ASDL2+ network over PSTN. This is a female RJ11 connector with 4 wires. The central pair is used for data transmission/reception.

WWAN (located at the rear of the device). You must install the antennas in the Teldat C1+LS router in order to improve the quality of the signal received and sent by the Wireless WAN module (GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, etc.).
1.2.3.1 Configuration using a local console (CONF connector) The Teldat C1+LS router has a female RJ45 connector on the rear panel labeled as “Conf.” , which provides access to the device’s local console. For configuration, you must connect the “Conf.” port to an asynchronous terminal (or to a PC with terminal emulation).

1.2.3.2 Configuration using an IP terminal (connectors LAN1..4) The Teldat C1+LS router includes a default configuration that activates if the device has not been previous con- figured or if the “Procedure to establish the default configuration” has been executed (this is explained further on in this manual).
1.2.4 Installing the SIM card The Teldat C1+LS has a Wireless WAN interface, which means that at least one SIM card must be inserted in the device for it to work. There are certain services (CDMA) from several operators in some countries that do not require SIM cards.

The RST pushbutton is located on the rear of the Teldat C1+LS router. It is protected in such a way that it is only ac- cessible from the outside by using a tool with a sharp edge to press it.
Follow the steps below if you need to force the device to start up in BOOT mode in order to load/upgrade the C.I.T. image from BOOT. The software required to update the Teldat routers is provided in a format known as distribution.
