2.1.2 Hardware Monitoring The only way to monitor the Teldat M1 router family hardware is through the LEDs on the front panel. The LEDs provide visual information on the state of the device. They indicate the condition of the hardware components, if there is connectivity, data flow, etc.

(8) Connect a terminal to the console and check that the device detects the expansion card. 3.3 Installation in a rack The Teldat M1 device family can be installed in a 19” rack. The strips and screws needed are not provided by default and need to be acquired separately.
3.3.2 Wall mounting The Teldat M1 can be mounted on the wall. This optional kit can be ordered separately or together with the Teldat The anchors to mount the device on the wall must be installed as shown in the following figure, using the screws provided by the manufacturer.

Main characteristics • Avoid humid and or dusty locations. • Direct exposure to sunlight, as well as other heat sources, should be avoided. The device should not be placed amongst papers, magazines or other elements that could hinder natural air circulation.

3.8 Installing the SIM card The Teldat M1 family has a Wireless WAN interface that, in order to operate, may require a SIM card to be inserted into the device. Certain services (CDMA) provided by several carriers in some countries do not require SIM cards.
