3.3 Installation 3.3.1 Standalone The Teldat M2 router family is designed to be placed on any flat and stable surface, functioning perfectly as a stan- dalone device. To ensure proper functioning, it is important to provide sufficient space around the router for ventilation. Additionally, make sure that the power cord and data cables can be easily connected to the device.
3.3.2 Wall mounting The Teldat M2 router family has two slots on its underside that can be used for wall mounting. We recommend using the following accessories, suitable for both solid and Gypsum board (plaster) walls: • 2 screws: [3.5x30 mm coach screw with a 90-degree head angle].

The Teldat M2 router family offers various data connections: 3.6.1 4-port Ethernet switch connections To connect to a local area network (LAN), the Teldat M2 router family features a 4-port 10/100/1000 Base-T switch with automatic MDI/MDIX. It is important to carefully differentiate this switch from other port types, so please pay close attention to the labeling.
The WAN-2 connector will not work during the booting process and in BIOS mode. 3.6.4 Wireless LAN internal antennas The Teldat M2 router family incorporates two built-in antennas that cover both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for the Wireless LAN module.

3 Components and Power Supply Teldat It is crucial to install these antennas in the Teldat M2 to enhance the quality of the signal received and transmitted by the cellular model. Note For optimal performance, it is important to always have the WWAN antennas installed on the router.
3.6.6 xDSL connection Depending on the specific model, the Teldat M2 router family may include an xDSL interface for establishing a WAN connection. This interface features one RJ45 port labeled as "xDSL" for connecting to the network.

3.7 Installing the SIM card The Teldat M2 is equipped with a Wireless WAN interface that may require one or two SIM cards for operation. The Teldat M2 has two protected SIM trays located on its side panel, as illustrated in the figure below: Fig.

In addition to the automatic power-saving mode, the Teldat M2 can also be completely turned off by disconnecting the power supply. This allows for further energy conservation when the device is not in use.
