IMBER SMART – Industrial Series
Installing and Grounding the Antenna
WARNING:
Do not locate the antenna near overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can
come into contact with these circuits. When installing the antenna, exercise extreme care not to come into
contact with these circuits, as they can cause serious injury or death. This antenna must be properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all applicable national and local codes.
Connections for antennas may only exit the building or the vehicle hull if transient overvoltages (according to IEC/EN
62368-1) are limited by external protection circuits down to a peak of 1500 V. All other connections must remain within
the building or the vehicle hull.
Never perform work on the antenna system during a thunderstorm.
NOTE:
All antennas must be at least 20 cm apart; in the case of combined antennas (mobile radio / WLAN / GNSS),
care must be taken to ensure there is sufficient isolation between the radio technologies.
