2.1 Overview

The Teldat IMBER SMART router offers a single, flexible platform that serves a variety of wireless
communications needs with over-the-air configuration and system monitoring for optimal
connectivity. The router is designed to enable wireless data connectivity over public and private
LTE cellular networks at 4G speeds.
The IMBER SMART series router has dual SIM backup and 4 LAN ports with the possibility of
changing one of the LAN ports to an Ethernet WAN connection (for fixed internet fail over to
cellular). It has an 802.11 b/g/n interface (with access point and client operations) to support
connectivity to IP applications in various connection scenarios, and RS232 and RS485 interfaces to
support Serial to IP communication. In addition, it has 2 digital input and 2 digital output channels
for alarm applications.
The IMBER SMART series router accepts a wide power input range (9 to 48 VDC) and has an
integrated reverse-voltage protection mechanism for greater reliability. Its reliable data
transmission features make it an advanced choice for universal wireless M2M applications.
