2.2.2 Hardware monitoring The LEDs on the front and the rear panel are used to monitor the hardware in the M10-Smart router. These LEDs provide visual information on the state of the device and reference the condition of the hardware components, indic- ating whether or not there is connectivity, data flow, etc.

3.2 Mounting an anti-theft security cable M10-Smart devices have been equipped with a standard Kensington security slot to which a security cable can be attached. The T-bar lock of the security cable allows the device to be attached to an anchor point, thus preventing potential thefts.

The M10-Smart does not have plug-in modules. Reserved for future use. 3.5 Power source The M10-Smart router is powered through an external AC/DC power adapter. Warning The equipment must be used with the power supply provided by the manufacturer. To power the router, plug the power supply into the mains supply and the DC connector.

Fig. 11: DC Connector To avoid electric shocks, residual current circulation, and other unwanted effects that also affect communications, the following is recommended: Warning All interconnected communication devices should be plugged into THE SAME GROUNDED POWER OUTLET, which should at the same time be of good quality (lower than 10 ohms).

3.7.2 WAN connections The M10-Smart has 2 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for WAN connection. These ports have 2 connectors - SFP for an optical link and RJ45 for a 10/100/1000 Base-T link - but they cannot work simultaneously. Please pay careful attention to the labeling to avoid mistaking these ports for other types of ports: WAN connectors Fig.

To assemble or dismantle the antennas, simply screw or unscrew them into or out of the SMA connectors located on the rear panel of the router. Installing these antennas in the M10-Smart is essential to improve the quality of the signal received and transmitted by the cellular model.

3.7.4 Wireless LAN internal antennas The M10-Smart has two integrated antennas for a Wireless LAN module covering both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The WLAN module is internal and is only available for the Wi-Fi models.

3.8 Installing the SIM card The M10-Smart router has a Wireless WAN interface that may need a SIM card to operate. The M10-Smart has one protected SIM tray located on its side panel, as shown in the following figure.
