4.21. Powering on and selecting Boot Options

Connect the Ethernet cable.
Press Power On/Standby.

During the initial boot:
To modify the BIOS default settings, press DEL or ESC when prompted from the start-up sequence
to enter the BIOS setup utility. By default, the BIOS setup utility runs in the English language.
It is not necessary to modify the server configuration, press F11 during system boot to select the
boot device for system software installation.

To enter PXE boot:
Press the DEL or ESC when prompted from the start sequence.
After pressing DEL or ESC, the BIOS setup menu displays. Choose Advanced  CSM Configuration
and configure Network Option ROM execution order (choose Legacy or UEFI based on the current
BIOS mode).
NOTE: To check the current BIOS mode, select Boot  Boot mode in the BIOS setup menu.
NOTE: If the current BIOS mode is UEFI,it is necessary to enable the Network Stack via the BIOS
setup menu Advanced  Network Stack Configuration  Network Stack  Enabled (default setting is
Disabled)
Press F4 to save configuration and exit.
After reboot, press F11 when prompted from the start sequence.
If the current BIOS mode is UEFI, select UEFI:IPv4/6 Onboard Network Port 1/2 to boot from PXE.
If the current BIOS mode is Legacy, select BRCM MBA Slot to boot from PXE.

4.22. Installing the Operating System

To operate properly, the server must have a supported OS.
To install an OS on the server, use one of the following methods. Once the installation is complete, you may need to
reboot the system.
Local installation (USB key or USB optical disc)
Remote deployment installation (PXE, virtual KVM)
