ACK NAK Timeout Value
This option specifies the amount of time the reader waits for an ACK character from the host following label
transmission. The selectable timeout range is 200 milliseconds to 15,000ms (15 seconds) in 200ms increments. A
selection of 0 disables the timeout.
To set this value:
1. Determine the desired setting in milliseconds.
2. Divide the desired setting by 200 (setting is in 200ms increments). Pad the result with leading zeroes to yield
two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.
3. Go to
page 29
and scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to enter Programming
Mode.
4. Scan the bar code: SELECT ACK NAK TIMEOUT VALUE SETTING.
5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in
was determined in the steps above. You will hear a two-beep indication after the last character.
If you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL bar code to abort and not save
the entry string. You can then start again at the beginning.
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to exit Programming Mode.
This completes the procedure. See
