2. If you are not sure whether your disk drives are assigned correctly:
a. Ensure that the required number of disk drives of the correct size are
assigned as hot spare disk drives, or as array candidate disk drives
(see "Changing the Use of Multiple SSA Physical Disks" on page 147).
b. Ensure that the disk drives that you are planning to use are in pool 0
(see "Listing the Disks That Are in a Hot Spare Pool" on page 80).
3. Add the required number of disk drives to the pool (see "Adding Disks to,
or Removing Disks from, a Hot Spare Pool" on page 86).
The number of hot spare disk drives that are in the pool is less than the
number of hot spare disk drives that were in the pool when the pool was last
configured, but greater than the minimum number that is specified for this pool.
This condition does not cause an error to be logged.
If you removed a disk drive from the configuration on purpose:
1. Select Change/Show/Delete a Hot Spare Pool from the smit ssaraid
menu (see "Adding Disks to, or Removing Disks from, a Hot Spare Pool"
on page 86).
2. Select the reduced hot spare pool.
3. Verify that the contents of the pool are as required.
4. Press Enter.
If you have exchanged a failed disk drive, you might now want to add the
exchanged disk drive to this pool (see "Adding Disks to, or Removing Disks
from, a Hot Spare Pool" on page 86).
