CONFIRMING HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

Follow these steps to check if you have the required Yaskawa safety hardware.
Power off the YRC1000. Follow your facility's lockout/tagout procedure.

Use a flat-blade screwdriver to turn the Yaskawa controller door lock clockwise. Open the door.

Look for the FSU I/O Expansion Board. It should have a cable connector labeled CN222 on the board. If you

don't see the cable headers or cable labeled CN222, you don't have the proper expansion board.
Tip: You may see a General Purpose Safety I/O board, which will not work.
