Symptom

0104/0105/0218 Jam Code due to slip of the pre-registration roller

Description
0104/0105/0218 occurred.
0104: Writing judging sensor delay jam
0105: Registration sensor delay jam
0218: Option deck pickup sensor stationary jam
Cause
Feeding power of the pre-registration roller [1] is reduced due to stain or abrasion of the roller, and thus
paper cannot be delivered, resulting in a jam.
Service work
Clean or replace the pre-registration roller by following the steps below.
1) Open the right door.
2) Clean the entire perimeter of each of the pre-registration roller [1] and the rollers [2] with lint-free paper
moistened with alcohol while rotating the rollers by hand.
3) Make a test copy, and check that a jam does not occur. If the symptom does not improve by cleaning the
pre-registration roller, go to the step 4) and replace the pre-registration roller (FC8-9354).
