Cause
When the finisher is used for a long time, the frictional resistance between the sliding surface [a] of the
roller shafts [1](FC9-3383)/ [2](FC9-3383), [3](FC9-3388) and the follower sliders [4] is increased. This
reduces the number of rotations of the roller shafts, preventing the paper from being fed at the normal
speed. As a result, the above symptom occurs.
The roller shafts [1](FC9-3383) are used just for Booklet Finisher-D1, whereas the roller shafts
[2](FC9-3383)/ [3](FC9-3388) are used for both Booklet Finisher-D1 and Staple Finisher-D1.
Service work
When the above symptom occurs, prepare the 2 kinds of new type roller shafts (FC9-3383-010/
FC9-3388-010) which are made of material changed and new type follower slider (FC6-5835-000). And
then perform the work by following the procedure below. As to the number of the roller shafts and the
follower slider needed in each finisher, see the table below.
